Public Show Calendar Updated!

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

I just updated my public show calendar, so if you are looking to  come out and watch a show check out where I’ll be.  Of course this calendar only lists shows that are open to the general public to attend, I don’t list private engagements on that calendar because unless you are a guest of those you can’t come out.

I’m amazed that the calendar reaches all the way out into July!

Behind the scenes peek…

Monday, June 25th, 2012

Recently I performed at a casino and one of the acts asked me how long it took me to work with the tech guy to get all of my musical cues down.  He was surprised to hear that it took less than a minute!  I actually run all of my own music, I just need to plug into the house sound system.

Here’s a quick behind the scenes peek at how I run the music in my show.

It’s simply an ipod with a remote control!  Technology is awesome!

Something New…

Monday, June 11th, 2012

Recently I found the coolest thing at a junk shop during a trip to Eastern Washington, it’s an Applause Sign!

Applause Sign

I’ve worked out something to do with this in show and if you come out and see me you’ll probably get to see it in action this summer (at least for indoor shows) I don’t know how well you’ll be able to see it outdoors with the sun shinning on it.

Summer Show Season is Here!

Friday, June 8th, 2012

Yesterday marked the beginning of my very busy performing season!  Between now and Mid September I’ll perform about 150 ish shows around the Pacific Northwest.  You can view my public show schedule at http://louiefoxx.com/calendar.php, I’m doing a lot more shows than what’s listed, however since they aren’t open to the general public they aren’t listed on that calendar.

If you come out to see me be sure to say HI after the show!

Leprechaun Day Trick

Sunday, May 13th, 2012

Today is Leprechaun Day and it made me remember an old trick that I used to sell a long time ago.  It was three pieces of card board with pictures of Leprechauns on it and you switched the two pieces of cardboard and one disappeared.  The puzzle looks like:

leprechaun puzzle magic trick

You can try to print this out and cut it out along the lines.  Set it on the table and count the number of Leprechauns then switch the two top pieces and count them again.  Did you get the same number?

Is this a magic trick?  Well not really, it’s a puzzle however puzzle principles are frequently used in magic tricks.
