This is just a quick heads up to let you know that I’ll be out of town from 2/2/13 to 2/13/13. If you call or email me during that period you won’t hear back from me until 2/14/13 or possibly 2/15/13 depending on how many calls / emails that come in while I’m away!

One New Year’s Day (1/1/13) I’ll be performing two shows at MOHAI (the Museum of History and Industry) in Seattle as part of its New Year Family Day.
Currently my One-Man Side Show is scheduled for 11am and 1pm and is free with museum admission. This will be a very fun event and a great way to kick off 2013!

Have a great Christmas! This December I had an awesome time performing my One-Man Side Show or cutting out silhouette portraits at holiday events across Washington State!
Thanks to everyone that made my December a success!

Tomorrow night (6/22/12) you can catch me headlining the Brown Bag Comedy Prime Time Specials show at the Odd Duck Studio. I’m working with Nigel Larson and Jason Goad that night. I’ve worked with Nigel before on tour performing in casinos and he’s a lot of fun!
The show starts at 8:30pm and I think it’s an 18 and up show, however teenagers might be allowed (check with the venue).

Tonight on the internet I stumbled upon a little manuscript that someone wrote for science teacher to use magic as a tool to teach science. What surprised me was that one of the tricks they use as an example was a creation of mine!
It’s a trick called marbles, however it’s not 100% my creation. The science behind the orignal trick is very old, however the original verison didn’t work very well. When I was a senior in high school I stumbled upon a way to improve this trick make it work a lot better. I sold this improved version to magicians for many years and some magic shops still sell it, I just don’t promote it very much anymore.
Personally I found it very interesting and flattering that they decided to my version of the trick for their demonstration and not the original, “classic” version. Having a stranger notice that my version of the trick is a HUGE improvement over the original is pretty cool!

I’m leaving today to head out on the road performing shows in Eastern, Washington State for the next four days. I’ll be performing eight shows in four days, so I’ll have a full schedule! This week I have my only public show that’s happening the entire month (the rest aren’t open to the general public) at the Akin Center Theatre in Yakima, WA on 5/19/12 at 1pm. If you are in the area come out and say hi!
If you call or email me while I’m away you may not hear back from me until Monday 5/21/12 when I’m back in the office. Sometimes when traveling cellphone reception and wifi can be hard to find. Please be patient, I’ll return everyone’s call or email by the end of the day Monday.

Well the snow has turned to rain and for the Louie Foxx One Man Side Show it’s back to our regularly scheduled program. For the that means today it’s one show in Everett this afternoon, then I head down to Salem, Oregon for a day to attend the Oregon Fair Association’s annual convention, then back to Seattle early sunday morning for an 11am show and an evening show at the Jewel Box Theater.
I did have me a bit of fun and worked on a new bullwhip trick in the snow:
Somehow I doubt the Snowball Bullwhip Target will make it into the One Man Side Show due to my lack of outdoor shows in the winter…but you never know!

Right now I’m working on a new piece for the show in 2012. I’m not saying much about it yet, however it uses apacking crate:
And it’s got a big surprise ending! Keep an eye out for this new stage illusion in my One Man Side Show a bit later in 2012!
