On Sunday I did a silhouette portrait cutting gig in Seattle. If you haven’t seen me cut silhouett portraits here’s a quick video:
When I cut silhouette portraits I cut two images. There are a couple of reasons why I do it that way. The main one is that two layer of paper is easier to hold and firmer than one piece of paper. Normally I don’t give out the second image unless the person asks me for it. A lot of people ask for the duplicate image, but most people aren’t even aware that there is a second image.
Usually the second image goes into my pocket and I end up throwing it away. I just emptied my pocket from a silhouette portrait cutting gig on Sunday and here’s 70ish duplicate portraits that were left over:
I love doing these silhouette portrait cutting gigs because I get to talk to a lot of people and don’t have to lug around my whole big stage show!
I just launched a website specifically for the Silhouette Portraits that I hand cut at events! You can visit the website at: www.Silhouette-Portraits.com
Each hand cut portrait takes between 90 and 120 seconds to custom cut out and it’s something that you can keep! To schedule me to cut silhouette portraits at your next event feel free to give me a call at 206-669-3928.
