On Labor Day (9/3/12) I’ll be performing at the Black Diamond Labor Days. My show starts at 11am and at noon after my show I’ll be cutting Silhouette Portraits at the King County Library’s booth/bookmobile.
After being out of the show for about 10 days because she was sick, Daisy has been cleared to perform again! Here she is at the Burlington Library yesterday:
She is the hit of the show, I have kids lined up afterwards to come up to get a closer peek at her. One thing we hear from adults after the show was that they thought rats were gross…until they saw Daisy and now they think they are cute!
Tomorrow I’m performing two library shows in Packwood and Randle Washington. While these libraries are fairly rural, they tend to get a good turn out and I think this is my fourth year in a row performing at them. Both towns are located near Mount Rainier and for me it’s always a very scenic drive out there!
Showtimes on 7/10/12 are:
Packwood: 10:30am
Randle: 2pm
These shows will be a ton of fun, if you are in the area come out and have a good time!
I recently added shows in Walla Walla, WA and Dayton, WA on June 19th. These are both Summer Reading Program shows the libraries in those cities, for more details on them visit my calendar at: http://www.louiefoxx.com/calendar.php
If you happen to be in that area or between there and the Tri-cities and are looking for a show for your group (Summer Camp, Library, etc) on 6/18/12 I’d love to perform my show for you! If you schedule a show 6/18/12 that’s in Eastern Washington that’s along my route you may be eligible for a bit of a discount on your show. Feel free to give me a call at 206-669-3928 to talk about scheduling your show!
One thing that my show has never had is a “Spit Take”. After all these years I’ve finally got one in the show! The camera didn’t pick up my daughter’s audio, but she says, “Good job Dad” in the video clip.
Come out and see me present my Reading is Magic Show at the Black Diamond Library on 2/22/12 at 2pm! This show features tricks and skills that I’ve learned from books and will keep your kids amazed and astounded!
Today is the last day of my daughter’s winter break and we went to library to learn about horses. While we were there we ran into Lou Medina who lives in the same town as me and he’s an extremely talented caricature artist!
Lou has done the posters for my last two summer library tours and my Reading Is Magic show!
Here’s the art for one of the posters he’s done for me:
I know it’s not even January yet, but I just put up the demo video for my summer 2012 library show. This show is called Dream it…Do it! and the show features all the skills that I either invented or dreamed about doing as a kid and eventually learned from books.
Here’s the video:
If the show looks fun to you forward this video to your local libraries Children’s Librarian or have them give me a call at 206-669-3928. If you are a librarian and want more specific details of the show visit: http://www.library-magician.com
A few days ago I got a package in the mail from the Yakima Valley Library System with some flyers that they had used to promote my show over the summer. Oh, and it had a really nice thank you note!
