Seattle Magic Shows

Well I’ve finally become a member of the Washington State Fair Association!

It’s taken me a lot of time to become a member, but I just got my membership packet in the mail.  That means next summer I’ll probably be performing my magic and variety shows at a couple more fairs around the state.

Of course I perform a lot more shows than what’s on the calendar.  I only list the shows that the general public can attend…it doesn’t make sense to list private shows if you can’t go to them.   Also August is the last month you’ll be able to see me present my World of Magic show…so come out and have a good time!

I finally saw the two page article about me in the Society of American Magician’s M*U*M Magazine:

It was a great article, the first 2/3′s was a biography on my and the last 1/3 was about something very unique that I do with my business card!  Next time you run into me ask me to show you the business card trick that’s so unique the Society of American Magicians had to write an article about it!

Get ready West Seattle, tonight I”m going to be the pre-movie entertainment for the West Seattle Outdoor Movies!  The gates open at 6:30pm, my show is at 7:30pm and the movie starts at dark.  Here’s the article from the West Seattle Herald promoting the event:

The now classic comedy Airplane is the West Seattle Outdoor Movie for July 30. Starring Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty the film also features Leslie Nielsen, Robert Stack, Lloyd Bridges, Peter Graves, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Lorna Patterson. Made in 1980 Airplane has gone on to generate more than $80 million and has been selected for numerous best film and top comedy awards.

The pre-show entertainment this week is provided by Louie Foxx a magician who calls his act the One Man Sideshow. He performs sleight of hand, rope tricks, bullwhip tricks and a trick he calls the Exploding Bubble among others.

West Seattle Outdoor Movies are shown in the courtyard at 4410 California Ave SW between Hotwire Coffee and Dr. Wolff. Bring blankets, chairs family & friends for the 7th year of the West Seattle Outdoor Movies.

All movies start at dusk and are FREE. Gates open at 6:30pm Concessions and raffles too, all proceeds go to charity.

One of the coolest things about being a professional magician is all the extremely talented people I get to perform with.  On Tuesday I got to work with Tim, the Yo Yo Guy.

As you might have guessed by his name he’s a yo yo performer.  He does more than just a few yo yo tricks he does a full yo yo show!

If you or your kids are interested in learning to do some yo yo tricks a good place to start is with the Klutz Yo Yo Book:

Like all the other Klutz books this one is very well illustrated and teaches kids more than just the tricks, but some yo yo facts and history as well!

This month in the Society of American Magician’s magazine M*U*M there’s a 2 page article written about me.  I’ve gotten emails from around the world from people telling how great of an article it is!  The only problem is that my copy of the magazine hasn’t shown  up yet!

Today is the night anniversary of my wife and I getting married!

I met my wife at a show at Giggle’s Comedy Club in Seattle, she was the person from the audience I used onstage.  It’s been a wonderful nine years…and I’m looking forward to many more years to come!

I just added two casinos in Eastern WA to my performance Schedule.

Here’s a sign that was promoting a show earlier this week.

One reason I’ve been successful as a professional magician in addition to creating my own original magic tricks I also keep up on the latest techniques from around the world.

Here I’m studying a new book with card techniques from one of my hero’s in magic named David Berglas.  If you’ve seen me do any card tricks during my Mingling Magic Show you’ve seen something from this book.
