Impromptu Magic Show
Last night I was driving home from performing at an auction and stopped at a Chinese Restaurant to pick up some dinner to bring home. While I’m waiting for my order to be cooked I can hear the staff whispering from behind screen. I really couldn’t make out what they were saying at first, then I heard kids voice say “You ask him” followed by another kids voice saying, “No, you ask him“. Then the mother (who took my order) comes out with two kids behind her and says, “Excuse me are you the guy that bounced a bubble the most times?”
That amazed me that they recognized me! I told them yes that was me and since I was just coming from doing a magic and variety show I had the bubbles in my car. So I taught the kids to bounce a bubble and did a quick magic show for them!
It’s always fun to have rock star moments when I get recognized…and doing something like teaching kids to bounce a bubble can really brighten peoples days!
Next week I’m on the road, so we’ll see if anyone recognizes me (probably not!) while in the Lake Chelan area.
