I just updated my show schedule for this summer and it’s jam packed with a lot of shows! My calendar at http://louiefoxx.com/calendar.php has a complete listing of all my shows that are available for you to attend!
This includes library shows, fair shows, festival shows and community event shows. Come out, see a show, say hi and have a good time!
When I’m on the road travelling with my show and staying in hotels I started a little video series. In this I create magic tricks or juggling stunts using only things found in my hotel room. This is the 8th video in the series:
I post these first on my Facebook Fan Page at: http://www.facebook.com/LouieFoxxShow Please take a moment to visit my facebook page and click the like button!
One of the questions I’m asked a lot is who is my favorite magician. My favorite is a guy named Nicholas Night. I saw his show when I was about 19 years old and I fell in love with it! It’s the kind of show I could watch 100 times…and thanks to youtube I can!
Here’s my daughter’s favorite piece from his show:
I’ve uploaded another video in the Tricks and Stunts in a Hotel Room series. What I do when I travel is I look around at things in my hotel room and try to think of little magic tricks, juggling stunts or something cool to do with whatever I can find.
I started making some little videos of me doing little magic tricks or juggling stunts with things normally found in a hotel room. The first one used a cup of water and a couple other things:
The second one uses something so rare it can only be found in a hotel room…a phone book! You can watch the video below:
I love that modern audiences still appreciate classic comedy principles. Here’s the second spit take that’s been in my show in the last year. I only a maximum of one per show:
Yes I’m aware that this isn’t technically a spit take…but I’m giving it a pass.
Recently I was reading William Tell Told Again on my Kindle and was inspired to put together a stunt for the show. Obviously I’m not going to shoot an arrow off someone’s head, not because I don’t want to but because I doubt my insurance would cover it. Here’s a sample of what I came up with:
This piece isn’t finished yet and hopefully will be ready to go by June so I can include it in my summer tours. Oh, if you are looking to schedule a summer show (i.e. fair, festival, library, etc) now’s the time to contact me my summer is starting to fill up.
