Come out and see me present my Reading is Magic Show at the Black Diamond Library on 2/22/12 at 2pm! This show features tricks and skills that I’ve learned from books and will keep your kids amazed and astounded!
Yesterday I performed at the Auburn Ave Theater as opening act for stand up comedian Bobby Tessel. It’s been a year or two since I’ve performed at the Auburn Ave Theater and it’s has some remodeling done and it looks great!
For the last few weeks I’ve been working on a new stunt for the show. It’s hoop and cup balancing. Last night was my first attempt in front of a live audience and I think it went over well:
Next up will be writing some more jokes and tightening it up a bit!
If you saw my family show last summer you probably saw me juggle three clubs while blindfolded on a balance board. While that’s a fun juggling stunt, the one that caused me a lot of stress was at my adult shows I juggled three knives while blindfolded!
A video of me doing this was the featured video on Dube Juggling’s youtube channel last week. Dube Juggling produces top of the line juggling products for amateur and professional jugglers. For more info click the banner below:
Here’s the video of me juggling three knives while blindfolded:
I recently came across some pictures from a show I did last summer in Roslyn, WA. It was for the Roslyn library and if I remember right it was the last A World of Magic show that I did that summer. There are a lot of pictures some of me doing the show and some of people watching it, I think computer people would call this a “photo dump”.
Today I’ve got two shows and then I get to enjoy a day off tomorrow!
This is just a heads up, but I’m currently out of town (from 1/28/12 to 2/8/12) and won’t be returning any phone calls or emails I return. I”ll be returning everyone’s call in the order received, and I’m hoping I can get everyone’s call or email returned within two day of my return.
Be sure that if you are contacting me about a magic show that will take place on a specific date or time be sure to mention that in your voicemail or email!
I’ll write a blog post about my adventures when I get back and have a minute!
Recently I have added a new magic trick to the One Man Side Show that uses a large packing case. This isn’t in a lot of shows, because it takes up a lot of space. This packing case also was a huge pain to move around, until recently I the brilliant idea of putting wheels on it!
Now it’s a easy to move around and doesn’t kill my back!
Also technically the magic trick I do with this packing crate is considered a stage illusion not a magic trick…but I don’t take myself that seriously, it’s still a magic trick!

Well the snow has turned to rain and for the Louie Foxx One Man Side Show it’s back to our regularly scheduled program. For the that means today it’s one show in Everett this afternoon, then I head down to Salem, Oregon for a day to attend the Oregon Fair Association’s annual convention, then back to Seattle early sunday morning for an 11am show and an evening show at the Jewel Box Theater.
I did have me a bit of fun and worked on a new bullwhip trick in the snow:
Somehow I doubt the Snowball Bullwhip Target will make it into the One Man Side Show due to my lack of outdoor shows in the winter…but you never know!
